Summer Cocktails to Savor from broVo Spirits & Local Bartenders

Local liqueur company broVo Spirits has just unveiled its annual 60 Days of Summer Tourism Promotion. broVo has teamed up once again this summer with dozens of restaurants and bars from around the Puget Sound to create a recipe book (to be passed out free to the public) featuring 60 local cocktails perfectly suited for summertime.

More than 40 restaurants/bars are participating with cocktail ideas. Below are a few worth noting…

  • Tavern Law will be featuring the ‘La Amarillo Rose’ (blanco tequila, broVo rose geranium, pear brandy, bitters).
  • Steelhead Diner will be featuring the ‘The Mile High Special’ (appelton’s estate VX rum, broVo amaro No. 1, clement creole shrub, pineapple juice, lime juice).
Here are two specialty cocktails from Toulouse Petit which are featured above:

Ginger’s Whip

1 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
1 oz broVo Ginger Liqueur
1 TBSP Lemon
Top with Ginger Ale
Shake over ice; Serve over rocks in chimney glass

Naked if I Want to1 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
1 oz broVo Lavender Liqueur
1/2 oz cassis
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
2 oz dry soda blood orange soda

Shake vodka, lavender, cassis and lemon juice with ice in a shaker and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with blood orange dry soda… No garnish.
