Blue Ribbon Cooking is Hosting a Dim Sum Class

Blue Ribbon Cooking is hosting a Dim Sum cooking class on Friday, January 31 to celebrate Chinese New Year!

Dim Sum means “a dot on the heart,” or the eating of little delicacies to touch the heart. As you may know, it’s an early morning or afternoon tradition of a meal composed of steamed and fried dumplings along with a variety of bite sized wrapped foods and pastries served with tea. The cooking class will embody these traditions and show that Dim Sum can easily be made in the home kitchen with a few tips and tricks.

  • Dim Sum Menu
  • Shrimp Scallion Dumplings
  • Steamed BBQ Pork Buns (Char Siu Bao)
  • Scallop Shu Mai
  • Steamed Fish Dumpling

All Blue Ribbon classes provide:

Hands-on participation; appetizers upon arrival; a selection of local microbrews, Northwest wines and our signature non-alcoholic beverages; a sit-down feast including all dishes prepared in class; and printed copies of all recipes.
