Sushi Kappo Tamura Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Omakase Menu


Sushi Kappo Tamura is celebrating its 5th anniversary next month with a special omakase menu prepared by Taichi Kitamura. For the entire month, the restaurant will feature a 5-course menu for $55 with the spotlight on the two courses of nigiri. The nigiri will profile the local summer catches of albacore toro, grilled black cod belly, love spot prawn, geoduck and silver smelt, among others.

The full menu features items from local farms, local waters and the restaurant’s rooftop garden:

1st course – Shigoku oysters on the half shell, chum salmon roe and momiji ponzu.

2nd course – Summer appetizer trio;
Jidori tamago tofu and uni, mozuku in tozazu, rooftop scallion and seas scallop in mustard sumiso.

3rd course – 5 pieces of prime nigiri of the day

4th course – 4 pieces of prime nigiri and a roll of the day

5th course – dessert of choice

Reservations are recommended and guests are asked to indicate that they’d like the anniversary omakase when making reservations.

Guests can also take part in the Seasonal Nama Genshu Sake Flight features the following sakes:

WATARI BUNE junmai ginjo nama from Ibaraki
DENSHIN HARU junmai ginjo muroka nama from Fukui
SHICHI HON YARI junmai nama genshu from Shiga
