Din Tai Fung to Open at Westfield Southcenter Mall in 2017

Dumpling fans living south of Seattle will no longer have to drive down to downtown Seattle nor Bellevue to get their hands on the famous xiao long bao’s — “soup dumplings,” a mouthful of hot broth wrapped in a thinly pressed dough.

Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese restaurant will open in December 2016 with a massive 9,346 square foot build out making it the restaurant’s largest location in the region. Founded in Taiwan in 1958, the tradition of Din Tai Fung continues today covering China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, LA, and our home city Bellevue and Seattle.

 

“We are very excited to open at Westfield Southcenter and bring our authentic Taiwanese food to the southern part of the Puget Sound region,” David Wasielewski, managing partner of Din Tai Fung, said in a press release.
