Uwajimaya to open Kai Market in South Lake Union on May 3rd

Uwajimaya to open small-format market called Kai Market at the 400 Fairview building, measuring at 5,500 square feet vs the traditional Uwajimaya 30,000 to 50,000 square feet. Kai Market will share the build with popular Vancouver-based sandwich shop Meat and Bread, local roast Caffe Ladro, Bar Harbor Finestkind Provisions, and the newly opened bar, Mbar.

The new market will include a poke bar, live tank filled with crabs, lobsters, and oysters. Kai Market will offer locals a great lunch option from hand-crafted bento boxes in the dining area, to the poke bar, spam musubi, nori fries, and snacks.
