Chef John Howie is pleased to introduce the first release of John Howie Woodford Reserve Personal Selection bourbon, available exclusively at John Howie Steak, Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar in Bellevue and Seattle, and SPORT Restaurant & Bar. The limited edition contains 180 bottles, numbered and signed by Chef Howie.
To create this one-of-a-kind bourbon, Chef/Proprietor John Howie, Company Wine Director Erik Liedholm, John Howie Steak Executive Chef Mark Hipkiss and Bar Manager Tim Lodahl made a trip toWoodford Reserve in Kentucky. Woodford Reserve’s Master Distiller, Chris Morris, took them through the blending process of eight barrels to find an exceptional flavor profile. The John Howie branded bourbon yields a hedonistic and balanced style; caramel and vanilla with baking spice aromas, framed by a fruitcake and frangelico-like palate.
“We are always looking for ways to raise the bar and make the John Howie Restaurant experience unique and special,” commented Chef/Proprietor John Howie. “Having our own bourbon blend, only available at John Howie Steak, Seastar in Seattle and Bellevue, and SPORT, will raise that bar.”
