Mother’s Day with Chefs Maria Hines and Jason Wilson

Miller’s Guild Toasts Mother’s Day
Miller’s Guild is firing up their Infierno grill for a special Mother’s Day brunch on May 11. Alongside regular brunch fare of Whiskey Cake with apple, bacon, yam, maple syrup and chili; Sausage & Biscuits with buttermilk gravy, soft fried eggs and braised kale; and Chef Wedgie Cobb Salad with organic chicken, pumpkin seeds beets, apricots, and yogurt mint dressing; kids can treat mom to specialty items from Chef Jason Wilson including Crab and Nettle Gratin; Grilled Ham Steak and Hearth Fired Eggs; Coffee Flour Waffle with rhubarb and strawberry; and Aspen Hollow Lamb with beets, chili and mint. The bar at Miller’s Guild will also be creating brunch cocktails perfect for mom.

Treat Mom to Special Tasting Menu at Crush
Chef Jason Wilson is preparing a beautiful five-course tasting menu with moms in mind. Make your mom feel special on her day with a starter of Champagne, Oyster, Cauliflower Veloute, Caviar followed by a five-course menu of 1) Muscat Goats Milk Ricotta, Pistachio Soils, Asparagus and Cured Ham; 2) Chamomile Carrots, Carnaroli Risotto, Manchego, Tangerine Lace and Almonds; 3) Seaweed Wild Leeks, Crab, Halibut, Smoked Mushroom Broth; 4) French Curry Chickpeas, Fire Roasted Artichokes, Lamb, Yogurt, Peppers; and 5) Earl Grey Chocolate Fondant, Huckleberry Jam, Malted Milk Hazelnut and Sea Salt.

Agrodolce Invites Madre to Brunch
Invite your madre to an Italian brunch from Chef Maria Hines on Mother’s Day. The three-course menu includes several options under each course, including Savory Gougeres with provolone picante, thyme and green garlic aioli; Malted Waffle with Theo’s Chocolate, malted milk chantily and dried strawberry; Smoke Salmon Scramble with black sheep brebis and chive; and Bomboloni with pastry cream, citrus and caramel. Moms and others can also order specialty brunch cocktails including Capri Sun with limoncello, sparkling wine and cured grapefruit; Agro Mary with an anchovies ricotta stuff olive; and Bottomless Mimosas.

Gift Mom Award-Winning Cuisine from Tilth
Located in a beautiful craftsman house, Tilth has long been a notable staple on the Seattle dining scene and their brunch is no exception! This Mother’s Day, Chef Maria Hines is giving you three-courses of delicious cuisine to gift to mom. With options under each course the three-course menu includes a housemade Fig Scone with brown sugar, pecan and fleur de sel; Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with chive hollandaise and potatoes; Spring Vegetable Hash with radicchio, beet and green garlic; Apple Soup with caramel, peanuts and marshmallow; and Chocolate Sorbet with Holmquiest hazelnut and Theo’s Chocolate. The three-course menu is $30 per person; additional $10 for Mimosa or Bloody Mary with coffee. Tilth will remain open until 3 p.m. for Mother’s Day brunch. Ballard Brunch at Golden Beetle
Ballard moms don’t need to look any further then Golden Beetle for a special Mother’s Day brunch. With Eastern Mediterranean influences, the three-course menu features several options under each course, including Mixed Green Salad with Cumin Vinaigrette, feta and pickled chard stem; Spicy Skagit River Ranch Pork Shank Hash with potato, Mama Lil’s pepper, béchamel and poached egg; Smoked Ham and Grilled Asparagus Omelet with gruyere cheese, parsley, beef fat fried potato; and Shortbread Cookie Napoleon with cinnamon, sour cherry and ricotta.
