China City Restaurant Opens in Mill Creek, Features Garden Rooms

Head Chef Jack Ng recently opened his third restaurant, China City Restaurant in Mill Creek, Washington. The other two restaurants being located in Freeland and Oak Harbor. China City features a variety of Mandarin, Szechuan, and Hunan style cuisine. The Mill Creek restaurant offers a beautiful outdoor dining room, a private wine room and a garden room for guests to enjoy or rent out for a special occasion.

Jack grew up in a small village in China, farming rice and babysitting the water buffalo for his parents, hoping one day they would move to America. He came to America at age 12 and could not speak the language. He would work in the back of his uncle’s Chinese restaurant in Anacortes, WA cutting vegetables and washing dishes. He later dropped out of high school, yet he knew he needed to earn a living. He attempted to live the rigorous fishing life in the Bering Sea but he could not physically handle it due to seasickness. He persevered for two years in Alaska and saved up enough money so he could create his own American dream. He is now a very successful entrepreneur and the proud founder of three China City restaurants along with his wife and business partner, Angela Vosburg.
