Skillet Announces New Chef De Cuisine

Seattle’s Nick Walsh joins Skillet Group as Chef de Cuisine at Skillet Diner Ballard and Capitol Hill

Nick Walsh will join Skillet Group on Monday, October 17 as chef de cuisine. In his new role, Walsh will oversee Skillet Diner Ballard and Capitol Hill, developing seasonal menus and delivering Skillet classics.

As the former executive sous chef at CenturyLink Field, Walsh’s resume includes experience in creating innovative menus at both upscale restaurants and larger format sports and entertainment venues.

“We’re thrilled with the opportunity to welcome Nick to our team,” said Skillet President Jon Severson. “We know he is looking forward to working for a local brand that’s all about creative, from scratch cooking that’s full of flavor.”

Walsh is a Seattle native who began his career at a diner-style restaurant in Ellensburg, Washington in 2000. After spending time at The Shore Restaurant and Beach Bar, an upscale bistro in Delray, Florida he started on the culinary team with CenturyLink in 2006 where he rose the ranks before moving on to work in the kitchen at Google in Bothell. He rejoined CenturyLink in 2013 where he stayed until accepting his new role with Skillet this month.
