Students have a chance to win a potato-themed cooking class for 30!

Mashed, roasted, baked, fried…the Washington State Potato Commission is showing their love for local potatoes during National Potato Lover’s Month this February! To celebrate this nutritious, versatile veggie, the Potato Commission is offering students a chance to win a potato-themed cooking class for 30!

One lucky class in grades K-12 will win:

  • Three-hour potato themed cooking class at Blue Ribbon Cooking & Culinary Center in Seattle
  • Two-hour potato-themed cooking class and lesson
  • Full catered lunch
  • Friendly potato cook off
  • Take home recipe packet and potato dish for dinner
  • Photos with the Washington State Potato Mascot

Plus, students will be able to “share the love” with others in need. While they cook they will be preparing meals that will be donated by Blue Ribbon Cooking to a shelter to feed local youth a hot dinner.

Students, parents, teachers, grandparents, and family friends can nominate any class using the Potato Commission’s simple online contest form found here: http://www.potatoes.com/potato-lovers/2017. Schools must be located in area codes 425, 206 or 253 to be eligible. Entries are accepted from Tuesday, February 14, 2017 until Tuesday, February 28, 2017 by 11:59pm. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The full details can be found at potatoes.com.
