Oktoberfest: It’s that time of year again! Gather some friends, grab a beer (or two) and cheers to the holiday. Rhein Haus once again will be celebrating Oktoberfest with its festive activities. Images can be found here.
Join Rhein Haus Seattle to celebrate Oktoberfest from Sept. 21 – Oct. 6. With Oktoberfest biers on tap from Silver City, Wasteiner, Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Ayinger, pFreim, Rueben’s and more, there will be plenty of beers to cheers. Events throughout Oktoberfest include:
On Friday, Sept. 27 and Oct. 4 at 6 and 8 p.m., guests can participate in Masskrugstemmen (Stein Holding contest) when they buy a liter of bier and line up on the bocce court. The competitor who can hold their full liter of beer up the longest will win a $50 Rhein Haus gift card and the 2nd place winner gets $25.
Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. – live music by The Oompah Machine
On Saturday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m., Bayern Brewing will be in the Haus tapping a Firkin keg of Oktoberfest bier.
Friday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. – live music by The Bavarian Village Band
Every day, kids are welcome until 10 p.m. and can make their own paper Lebkuchenherzen heart cookies with Rhein Haus’ Oktoberfest craft kits.
Rhein Haus Tacoma: Oktoberfest heads to the South Sound at Rhein Haus Tacoma from Sept. 21 – Oct. 6.

Every day, kids are welcome until 10 p.m. and can make their own paper Lebkuchenherzen heart cookies with Rhein Haus’ Oktoberfest craft kits.
OktoberFEAST at Rhein Haus Seattle and Tacoma: Join Rhein Haus Seattle and Tacoma for an Oktoberfest unlike any other. Teams of four will compete to finish four signature Rhein Haus dishes, each washed down with a half-liter of Rhein Haus lager brewed by Bayern Brewing. Along with the championship bragging rights, the team with the fastest time will win the grand prize of a $250 donation to a charity of their choice, a $50 Rhein Haus gift card and a commemorative Rhein Haus Oktoberfest t-shirt for each team member.
The four dishes, each a single serving size, to be completed by the team include:
1. Pretzel bites with spicy mustard
2. Nuremberg sausages and a pile of sauerkraut
3. Currywurst and fries
4. Berliners – German doughnuts with raspberry jam
Before the clock stops, after the last dish is finished, the four team members must toast with 20ml bottles of Underberg – a digestif bitter produced in Germany.

The entry fee is $25 per team, which will be donated to benefit Northwest Harvest.
The 2nd place team will receive a $25 Rhein Haus gift card and a commemorative Rhein Haus Oktoberfest t-shirt for each team member and the 3rd place team will each win an Oktoberfest t-shirt.

Cosmic Bocce at Rhein Haus Seattle: Everyone’s favorite beer hall game is getting a galactic upgrade. Every Sunday night from 10 p.m. to close, guests can play glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Bocce for just $5 a player and enjoy half liters of Veltins Pilsner for only $5! Trivia Nights at Seaplane: Starting Tuesday, Oct. 1, the beloved Geeks Who Drink trivia will now be at Seaplane Kitchen & Bar! The weekly quiz nights are free to play and Seaplane will be giving away prizes for answering bonus questions and gift cards for the top teams at the end of the night. Geeks Who Drink rules limit the total number of players on teams to 6, so gather a group of the smartest friends and see which geeks will come out on top.
