Meet Korean BBQ Opens in Capitol Hill

It’s nice to finally MEAT you!

SEATTLE – Today is the day for Chef/Owner Heong Soon Park’s Meet Korean BBQ to open for business in Seattle. It’s time for all the meat, fire and fermentation to become a reality on Capitol Hill! The grand opening starts with Happy Hour at 4 o’clock this afternoon with the grills firing up, the cocktail shakers shaking, and the meat sizzling.

Leading the charge from behind the bar is Tyler Moore who is a welcome addition to the MKBBQ team after a recent stint at Central Smoke. Moore will be serving up a range of creative ‘Kocktails’ drawing heavy influences from Korean spirits and Asian liqueurs. In addition, the bar sports one of the best selections of Premium Soju in town with several hard to find bottlings available. Moore has also created what may be the signature drink at MKBBQ; the Big Soju Cocktail comes in four flavors including Grapefruit, Peach, Green Grape and Yogurt. It’s made with 6 ounces of Soju, Milkis, lemon and mint and is served in a Milk Bottle sized highball glass for $16. The wine list is comprised of affordable selections from Washington, Oregon and California while the draft and bottled beer ranges from local PNW breweries to several Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese selections.

Meet KBBQ will also have the happiest of hours between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Specials range from $8 cocktails and $7 wines by the glass to $6 Korean Fried Chicken and $15 Kurobuta Pork Belly and American Wagyu brisket for the grill. Additional details can be found in the attached menus.

Reservations for parties of 4 or more can be made via Resy, at the restaurant’s website or by calling the restaurant directly at 206.695.2621. The wood-fired grill area in the front of the restaurant will be reserved for walk in traffic while the main section of the restaurant will seat larger parties. Welcome Seattle – it’s nice to MEAT you!
