Beloved Bainbridge Island Vietnamese spot Ba Sa has just revealed a major revamp of its outdoor dining setup—and it’s a stunner. The restaurant’s new patio features sleek landscaping, expanded seating, and a state-of-the-art retractable awning designed to handle everything the Pacific Northwest skies can throw at it.
“I could not be more excited about the pretty new patio,” says chef and co-owner Trinh Nguyen. “It’s all one level, and the retractable awning allows us to offer open-air dining for guests, as well as covered dining in our unpredictable Pacific Northwest weather.”
The updated space seats 34 and is expected to stay in use nearly year-round—welcome news for Seattle-area fans who regularly make the ferry trip for Ba Sa’s refined takes on Vietnamese classics. Diners can now enjoy favorites like the Soft-Shell Crab Roll, Spicy Truffle Wontons, and crispy Taro Egg Rolls under the sun—or shelter—depending on the day.
