The Inside Scoop on Molly Moon’s: The Ultimate Sundae Challenge and Seattle Night Out!

CAPITOL HILL— A friendly competition has broke out amongst the kitchen staffs at our Capitol Hill, Wallingford and Queen Anne scoop shops, and only you can crown the winner! The ultimate ice cream sundaes have been created and will be available at all Molly Moon’s locations for two weeks at a time. The shop sundae that has been devoured the most at the end of its two-week run will be the winner! Show your neighborhood pride and check out this devastatingly delicious sundae lineup!
July 25 – August 7: Capitol Hill’s “The Pineapple Upside Down” – A slice of homemade brown butter sheet cake topped with a generous scoop of Molly Moon’s Vanilla Bean ice cream, caramelized chunks of organic pineapple, dark rum syrup, and a Chukar Cherry!

August 8 – August 21: Wallingford’s “The Snack Attack” –  Scoops of Molly Moon’s Melted Chocolate and Salted Caramel ice creams topped with a healthy dollop of house made marshmallow fluff, organic pretzel crumbles, and a drizzle of cold chocolate sauce!

August 22 – September 4: Queen Anne’s “The Campfire” – Scoops of Molly Moon’s Melted Chocolate ice cream topped with house made marshmallow fluff, organic graham cracker crumbles, hot fudge, and smoky whipped cream!

Seattle Night Out is Tuesday, August 7 and Molly Moon’s is selling limited edition 1-gallon tubs of ice cream for everyone’s neighborhood block parties! These special tubs are $25 each and we’re taking pre-orders now through Sunday, August 5! Available flavors are Vanilla Bean, Melted Chocolate, Scout Mint and Vegan Cherry Chunk! Limited quantities will also be available at Molly Moon’s scoop shop locations on August 7!

Craving a Molly Moon’s scoop, sundae or shake, but you don’t have time for the line? Here are a few tips for getting your Molly Moon’s fix in a hurry:

1.) Grab a pint or two out of our pint freezers and head to the front of the line!
2.) Treat yourself to an afternoon delight and visit our shops between 12-noon and 2 p.m. when the lines are shortest!
3.) Head to our Queen Anne and Madrona shops on Friday and Saturday evenings for a shorter wait time!

  1. Very Disappointed in the Pineapple Upside down Sundae. I was so excited about this one. I got a small and it was so not worth the 6 bucks I paid.

    First off, a slice of homemade brown butter sheet Ummmm this is not correct. Try a couple of sprinkles of cake crumbs on top.

    Think it will look like the picture above WRONG. It is their regular container that holds ice cream (without the cone) with toppings placed precariously on top. So the ice cream overpowers the toppings hands down and you end up with more ice cream than toppings. I could taste the pineapple sort of but did not even notice the rum syrup. The cherry was noticed for sure but cherries generally are.

    Not sure what would make this better. Maybe a small piece of cake (so you actually get the promised slice of cake) on the bottom with some syrup and pineapple then ice cream and then cake crumbles and pineapple and cherry on top with a drizzle of more rum syrup.

    The flavor profile sounded wonderful but I was sadly disappointed.
