SEATTLE—Ask not what your cheese can do for you…ask what you can do for your cheese at Metropolitan Market’s “Cheese Choice 2012” festival running Sept. 29 – Oct. 9 at five neighborhood locations(except Magnolia). The month-long series of cheese events introduce and educate guests on artisan, specialty, hand-made and farmstead cheese produced locally and globally. Every customer who votes for a favorite cheese is eligible to win a $500 gift card and a year of free cheese. Over 120 people will win a cheese prize.
 
Attend a daily tasting or pairing event for a multi-sensory experience with cheese, meet local and national cheesemakers, take a free class from one of our cheesemongers, and more! Events include a book signing and tasting by Portland author Diane Morgan, whose newest cookbook is ”Roots” and Mozzarella madness where cheesemakers will make and sample fresh Mozzarella. Come by one of our culinary kiosks to try an array of artisan cheeses and pick up the “Cheese Choice 2012” event schedule. Two exciting giveaways are the “Ode to Cheese Contest,” where customers can win one of five Zola Holland bicycles and “Guess the Weight” of the BelGioioso cheese where one customer per store can win a $50 gift certificate.
