Flatstick Pub, the hugely popular mini golf pub concept from brothers Sam and Andy Largent, is set to open a third location on Saturday, July 28 in Seattle’s South Lake Union (SLU) neighborhood.
Flatstick Pub SLU is located at 609 Westlake Avenue North, on the ground level of the Allen Institute.
The 11,000 square-foot space, designed by Atelier Drome and renovated by Adatto Construction, offers a 9-hole putt-putt golf course, as well as two original golf themed games invented by the Flatstick team. Duffleboard ™ is a tabletop game using golf balls and modified putters, with the course consisting of 9 tables. And new to the SLU location is ‘stick putt!, an arcade style putting game with electronic scoring, video graphics, sound, and special effects.
“We’re thrilled with the mini golf course,” said Andy Largent. “Local artist, Ryan Henry Ward, created large sculptures of Sasquatch, a wizard, and an owl that are pretty rad.”
Ethan Stowell Restaurants (ESR) is the food partner for SLU and will offer a menu that features brick oven pizza and other pub grub. Pizzas include Short Game with tomato sauce, basil, and fresh mozzarella, The Bogey with tomato sauce, fennel sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, olives, and whole milk mozzarella, and The Albatross with tomato sauce, pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeños, and whole milk mozzarella. Salads include Greenskeeper with mixed greens, dried cherries, goat cheese, and walnuts, and a Flatstick Ceaser with the option to add fried chicken tenders. The menu also includes Spicy Chicken Wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, The Mercer Mess with tater tots, bacon cheese sauce, scallions, and sour cream, Mozzarella Sticks with marinara, Fried Mushrooms with tarragon truffle mayo, and Jalapeño Poppers with cheese sauce. Serious pub grub!
“Partnering with ESR has been great and we’re learning a ton,” said Sam Largent. “The stellar reputation they have is well deserved. The ESR team is awesome.”
“We’re excited about the partnership,” said Ethan Stowell. “Sam and Andy have a really cool concept and run a great operation. They have a lot of growth potential and we’re happy to be along for the ride.”
With seating for 250 indoors, and 50 on a patio, plus 10 televisions, and a rotating selection of 36 local beers and ciders, as well as five wines, on tap – Flatstick Pub is a perfect addition to SLU.
“Flatstick Pub has established itself as an entertaining, interactive and inviting pub for locals in the greater Seattle area, and we’re thrilled to welcome its third location to the South Lake Union neighborhood,” said Ada M. Healey, vice president of real estate at Vulcan Inc. “Flatstick Pub will surely add to the neighborhood’s energy and 18-hour appeal.”
Seattle based firms Atelier Drome and Root Culture Lab collaborated on the interior design of Flatstick Pub SLU, which includes murals by local artists Ryan Henry Ward, Kyler Martz, Ellen Picken, Zack Roldstad, and Jesse Brown. Function Foundry out of Issaquah, built the games.
Flatstick Pub SLU is open daily 11am to 12am, and until 2am on Friday and Saturday. Food is available until 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and until 12am on Friday and Saturday. All ages welcome until 7pm. For private events or reservations, call 206.258.4989 or visit www.flatstickpub.com.
