Culinary Showcase in Support of Stronger, Healthier Babies

The Sheraton Seattle Hotel is excited to be hosting the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction for the 23rd consecutive year on Thursday, October 17. Presenting chef John W. Armstrong IV, executive chef for the Sheraton Seattle, joins 11 other Pacific Northwest-based chefs for an evening of culinary exploration and wine and beer pairings, all to benefit March of Dimes, which is celebrating 75 years of helping moms have full-term pregnancies and researching the problems that threaten the health of babies.

“March of Dimes is an amazing organization that works to give every baby a healthy start,” said Matt Van Der Peet, general manager of the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. “We are proud to host an event that does so much to raise awareness and funds for such a strong and essential organization, all while showcasing the culinary bounty of the Pacific Northwest.”

The Signature Chefs Auction pays tribute to the outstanding culinary talent in Seattle, featuring prominent local chefs including Executive Chef John Armstrong from the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, Thierry Rautureau from Loulay, Chris Garr from Ivar’s Acres of Clams and Brock Johnson from Dahlia Lounge. In addition, nine local wineries and distilleries will be pouring including Chateau Ste. Michelle, Mac & Jack’s, Pike Brewing Co. and Michael David Winery.

“By simply enjoying a fabulous evening of food, wine and enthusiastic bidding on auction items, we are uniting as a community to ensure every newborn has a chance to live a healthy and happy life,” said March of Dimes State Director Jean Allenbach. “We appreciate the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, our Signature Chefs and all the individuals and business who are making this incredible evening possible.”

The event features a spectacular dining experience presented by the chefs, wineries and breweries. A silent and live auction feature one-of-a-kind culinary experiences from selected chefs. Hosted by Lisa Van Cise, weather anchor on KING 5 and NWCN, the Signature Chefs Auction raises funds to support March of Dimes mission-based programs.

The Signature Chefs Auction is held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 17. Tickets start at $250 per person or $2,500 for a table of 10 and are available online at
