The sweet spot – where the community comes together, that is exactly where you will find the newest Cupcake Royale café, on the corner of Queen Anne Avenue at Crockett Street (1935 Queen Anne Avenue) in the heart of Queen Anne. The newest location will include both a bakery, where cupcakes will be baked daily, with a visible frosting station for patrons to belly-up to and chat with Frosters, along with a new line of American-style homemade pastries, expertly brewed Stumptown Coffee beverages, and of course 14 flavors of homemade Cupcake Royale ice cream, shakes, sundaes and more! The café is slated to open later in September.
The interior, designed by Ian Butcher Best Practice Architecture and Design, will showcase a clean, modern and open design, both reflective of the neighborhood and conducive to the experiences that Cupcake Royale hopes to create for the residents of the community of Queen Anne. The new café features an expansive communal table that seats 12, which will be used for Sprinkle parties (also great for the after school crowd gatherings), a sprinkle bar for kids, a bakeshop that is visible from the café where customers can easily saddle-up and watch cupcakes getting their frosting on and engage with Cupcake Royale staff, and large roll-top garage doors, which will allow customers to enjoy the fresh air as they sip their coffee, savor a cupcake or watch the day go by.
Cupcake Royale Queen Anne is proud to feature one of the first pulled Stumptown Cold Brew coffee taps in Seattle. Coffee lovers will rejoice with this caffeine delight, just one more menu item that loyal fans can expect to enjoy in the new shop, or take for a stroll down the Avenue.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this store opening,” said Cupcake Royale founder and owner Jody Hall. “Not only is Queen Anne a neighborhood that we have always loved that just feels right for us, but the community is perfect for us. Our spot on the Avenue lends itself well to the community aspect from the farmers market, the after school hangout, the proximity to the parks, community center and pool; the proximity to many lovely shopkeepers, even those who enjoy a stroll on the street and nearby parks, or are looking for a quiet spot to grab a cup of coffee and call the café their office for the morning.”
The modern feel of the new Cupcake Royale Queen Anne café will span 1,700 square feet with ample, inviting space, complete with roll-up doors, allowing for plenty of fresh air and sunshine, even on a gray day, for guests to enjoy a cup of expertly brewed Stumptown coffee, sit back and savor cupcakes and ice cream, along with a friend or celebrate big with many.
“Our customers have long been asking us about coming to the top of Queen Anne and this location is our sweet spot,” added Hall. “The strength of this community and all that they do to enrich Seattle is in synch with what we believe at Cupcake Royale.”
A Grand Opening celebration for the community is scheduled for mid-September (follow Cupcake Royale on Facebook for more information/details coming soon). Consider Cupcake Royale Queen Anne like your next door neighbor. Come on over. The door is always open.
