I pulled into a parking lot nearby waiting for my watch to turn to 11:00 AM, which is when the burger bar opens. At 10:58 AM there were already groups of people waiting to be seated. Located in a convenient spot near the Redmond Town Center, it’s undeniable that Tipsy Cow is one of the Eastside’s popular restaurants. In fact, their famous Rockstar burger was voted one of the top 10 best burgers in Seattle on Zagat in 2015.
When you walk in you’ll be welcomed by cheerful and accommodating staff. You’ll get the vibe of a modern and casual restaurant that is perfect for lunch, a date night or dinner with a group of friends.
I had the opportunity to meet the chef, Ben West, and he made sure that I was enjoying my food. His passion for food clearly shows through his food plating – picturesque at every angle. Their burgers are made of grass-fed beef patties from local ranchers and you can tell the difference when you take your first bite – juicy, meaty, delectable goodness. Their menu of consists of the classic burger all the way to designer burgers that you can’t quite find anywhere else. I ordered the Rockstar burger with a side of addicting truffle fries (I highly recommend both). An explosion of flavors will fill your mouth – Bibb lettuce, tomato, sweet caramelized onions, Tipsy sauce (horseradish aioli), crunchy brew battered and fried bacon, Beecher’s white cheddar, maple syrup drizzle, and a fried organic egg. The runny egg yolk with the combination of sweet and salty flavors will make you think of brunch in a burger. It will be a messy meal, but it will be well worth it. If you’re not a carnivore lover there’s no need to worry because vegetarian options are also available. Besides their burgers, their appetizers, salads, and shakes are just as delicious too.
If you consider yourself to be a burger connoisseur, then Tipsy Cow will not disappoint you!
