This two day event features approximately 60 Hydroplanes and Racing Runabouts on Lake Chelan, some classes reaching speeds of more than 150 mph. Spectators will enjoy a beer garden, food, boat viewing, and a meet-and-greet with the drivers.
Lake Chelan Crush Classic; Friday, September 27, 2013
The wineries of Lake Chelan are teaming up with Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course this fall for a day of putting and tasting throughout the valley. The fun begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on the 18-hole Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course. After picking up a box lunch to take on the road, golfers will then travel to select wineries where they will find putt putt holes set up to finish the tournament. All score cards are due by 4 p.m. at the Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course where golfers will gather for wine tasting, appetizers and announcements of winners. Each member of the winning group will receive a two-night stay and complimentary tickets to 2014 Winterfest in Chelan. Mahogany & Merlot Vintage Boat Event; Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, 2013
The 2013 Mahogany & Merlot Vintage Boat Show is an ‘on-the-water’ boat show featuring the Vintage Unlimited Hydroplanes from the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Seattle, in addition to restored Vintage Inboard ‘Limited Class’ Hydroplanes, and Antique & Classic Mahogany Runabouts from the Golden Era of pleasure boating. Lake Chelan Crush; October 5-6 and October 12-13, 2013
During back-to-back weekends in October, the boutique wineries of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley celebrate the harvest season during the annual Crush Festival. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of wine enjoying exclusive vineyard and winery tours, live music and award-winning wine tastings at each of the wineries. Attendees are invited to mingle with the winemakers who will share the intricacies of the winemaking process explaining the effects of the surrounding terroir, and sharing their experiences of harvest season. In addition, many of the wineries offer a distinctive dining experience and nearby farms offer fresh locally grown produce to complement the region’s premium wines.
