Charles Smith Hosts First-Annual End of Summer Bash on August 26

The Head and the Heart headlines with a special acoustic concert alongside performances by the mighty Calexico and Atomic Bombshells, wineries from around the world and local food trucks. 

Seattle, Wash. (August 22, 2017) – In celebration of his new, special release, barrel-aged K Vintners Jet City Riesling, award-winning winemaker Charles Smith is hosting the first-annual End of Summer Bash: Riesling Revolution on Saturday, August 26 at Charles Smith’s Jet City in Seattle. Giving fans a new, radical side of Riesling and creating the ultimate wine-tasting experience, Charles is bringing together 18 premier wineries primarily from the Pacific Northwest and a few favorites from Germany to showcase the best Riesling including Charles & Charles Riesling, the famed Kung Fu Girl Riesling and K Vintners Jet City Riesling, which is only available for a limited time at the event and in the Jet City tasting room. Following the tasting, Calexico then The Head and the Heart will take the stage making this a truly one-of-a-kind event.

Taking place at Jet City, the largest urban winery on the west coast with a killer view of Mt. Rainier, the End of Summer Bash will feature a burlesque show from the Atomic Bombshells during the Riesling tasting. Local food trucks – Nacho Mama’s, The People’s Burger, Sam Choy’s Poke To the Max and Stella Fiore Wood Fired Pizza – will also be serving signature dishes.
