March is Taste Washington Wine Month, Get Ready for Special Promotions

Restaurants, retailers & wineries to offer special promotions and events to celebrate Washington wine

Washington State Wine is flying the #WAwine flag this March for Taste Washington Wine Month with an energizing new campaign to encourage people to proudly Taste Washington Wine. More than 500 wineries, restaurants, hotels and retailers are jumping on board with special events and promotions all month long.

“Washington State has great wines for every palate, at every price point,” said Steve Warner, President of Washington State Wine. “March is the perfect excuse to get out, revisit your favorite wines – and find some new ones!”

Washington State Wine will run a large advertising campaign to generate roughly 5.5 million impressions throughout the month of March. The Taste Washington Wine Month website features a calendar of promotions, including winemaker dinners, discounts at local wineries and restaurants, special tasting events and more. Also on the website is a live Tagboard, which automatically aggregates social media posts to showcase all the #WAwine buzz in one place.

“Our goal with Taste Washington Wine Month is to not only get wine lovers excited about Washington wine, but also support the local restaurants and retailers who support us,” Warner said. “We hope our friends in the hospitality industry will use wine month as another opportunity to celebrate our state’s world-class winemakers and farmers.”

Momentum will build all month leading up to Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food festival, March 28-31 in Seattle. The 22nd annual Taste Washington features more than 235 wineries, 65 restaurants, and some of the nation’s most-talented chefs at a series of events throughout the weekend.

“Whether you’re a seasoned Washington wine drinker or a newbie, Taste Washington is a can’t-miss event,” Warner said. “You just can’t beat the exposure to so many fantastic wineries and restaurants – it’s the perfect stage to show why Washington is the new epicenter of wine.”
