PREMIER MEDIA GROUP ANNOUNCES NEW MAGAZINE: 425 BUSINESS

Eastside-focused monthly print and online magazine to launch in October 2014

Premier Media Group announced yesterday at its annual Best of 425 event that is preparing to launch 425 Business, an Eastside-focused monthly print and online magazine, in October 2014. Building on the success of Premier Media Group’s current publications—425 and South Sound magazines—425 Business will include inspirational, empowering and creative con­tent relevant to Eastside business profes­sionals.

“Over the past 13 years, Premier Media Group has built an incredible following with our regional 425and South Sound publications and we couldn’t be more excited for the launch of 425 Business,” said Josh Dunn, publisher for Premier Media Group. “The magazine will provide captivating content that will allow readers to engage with business leaders and companies in their own backyard in a way they’ve never been able to before.”

425 Business will be the only paid publication to feature in-depth relevant and local content focusing exclusively on Eastside businesses and business leaders—young and old.

Each issue of 425 Business will incorporate a detailed look at the area’s important issues, as well as provide information and ideas about business news, startup stories, legacy businesses, neighborhood features, fashion, philanthropy, travel, lifestyle, technology, products and more. In addition, daily digital content will focus on the thriving Eastside business community.

“We feel the marketplace needs a voice and a conduit to connect,” said Dunn. “Eastside business leaders have expressed interest in having a publication they can call their own and that is what we’re going to provide.”

Veteran journalist Jeff Burlingame will lead 425 Business. He has won more than a dozen awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, including the group’s highest national honor, a Sigma Delta Chi award. Burlingame is also the author of 30 books and is a two-time NAACP Image Award nominee. In February 2012, Burlingame won the prestigious Image Award, placing him in a select company of celebrities to have done so including United States presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as legendary entertainers such as Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson and Bono.
