Three years after formalizing their “3” partnership, the Metropolitan Grill presented the Why Not You Foundation with a donation of $25,000, bringing the total to $75,000 donated to the foundation since 2017.
As a “3” partner – named after Wilson’s number – three percent of all Metropolitan Grill gift card sales are donated to the Why Not You Foundation in support of its efforts to inspire and empower kids to approach life with a ‘why not you’ attitude by encouraging them to embrace opportunities, overcome obstacles and make a positive impact within themselves, their family, and their communities.
Metropolitan Grill owner Jim Rowe proudly presented the Wilsons with the latest donation during a private celebration.
“We make a great team. Ciara and I are thankful for all that Jim and the Metropolitan Grill family has done for us,” said Wilson. “The Met staff has shown me, my family and our foundation so much love and support ever since I first started coming here way back in my rookie year.”
In addition to being a “3” partner, the Metropolitan Grill also plays a big role in supporting the foundation’s annual Wilson Celebrity Invitational golf tournament .
“Russell is a natural leader who cares for, and cultivates community,” said Rowe. “We’re three years into a successful partnership, and we’re just getting started!”
As an added incentive to Metropolitan Grill fans, three lucky people who purchase a Metropolitan Gift card now through December 17 will be randomly selected to receive a $500 gift card and a Russell Wilson autographed football. Winners will be contacted on December 18, 2019.
